rev:text	I wanted to like this place SO bad. I am visiting from NJ & woke up craving skirt steak, so I picked this restaurant based on the 4 star rating. My BF and I arrived & the host immediately asked if we had reservations, we did not, but she sat us anyway with ONE menu, promising she'd bring a 2nd one when it became avail. The restaurant was full when we sat down, maybe about 4 open tables. About 2 min later a bus lady came and filled our water in silence.... That was it... For about 10 min. I looked at my watch and I tell the BF "If we have to wait 10 more min. we are walking out." 5 minutes later, the bus lady brings out bread & fills our water.. Again in COMPLETE silence. At this point, no one has said a word to us, not even a "Hey someone will be right with you." But by this time, half the restaurant was gone and 4 new tables sat. No one brings our 2nd menu, and there is one server that keeps looking at us but continues to walk right by us and says nothing. 15 minutes have passed from the time the bus lady brought bread which my BF has almost finished, he looks at me and says "ready?" I grab my purse when the same host finally comes up and plainly says "Do you know what you want to drink?" At this point my blood started to boil. Not a "sorry you've been waiting 25 min." Not a "Hey! Hope the bread was ok, we've been swamped." Nope. NOTHING. I look at her and say - "You know we have been sitting here more than 25 minutes and no one has said a word to us." She stops and thinks for 2 seconds & replies with "we are short staffed today and are doing the best we can." Me- "I totally get that, but that's no reason not to even acknowledge someone is sitting here." I tell her I've been a server over 7 years & what she just said was no excuse. And finish with "I think we are going to go." The BF grabs the last piece of bread as we get up (I thought it was quite funny!!) and we walk out. I wanted so badly to like this place... But I will NEVER be back here. I've been in the restaurant industry 7 years and I know what being busy is and how EASY it is to acknowledge someone. Because of that I always tip well, even when I have shitty service. But there was no way I'd spend my money here. Neither should you.
