Awesome place to watch a movie. I spent years in Austin going to the south Lamar location and loved the artsy vibe and panels and Q and A with actors and directors. Respectfully, I would caution reading too much into most of the low reviews on here as people from the Phoenix metro area are generally- how do I say this- trying to be nice - suburbanites that like comfort, sterility, and don't have access to quirky vibes for the most part. Sanitized comfort bland stuff usually rates high. I think Tempe is a great place to have this space and I hope it becomes the best place for movies in the state. I will definitely come out and support this place. And in terms of the food- ever been to a baseball game? Basketball game? Why would I expect 5 star dining ? If anything, I want to be reminded of being in the sofa in the 8o's with a bunch of friends and watching Goonies while we eat a bunch of crap. And the piece of paper where you actually have to use something called a pen or pencil to write down your order - quirky and that is great - if that bothers you, can't solve that part of your life.
To the owners- in the future will you have Q and A's with cast members and the like?
Thanks for coming to Tempe!!!!
