| - Went to the Omni for an awards ceremony and gala and loved it! One of the main reasons that I love this hotel is because there is a Starbucks on the first floor! There's also a lot of space on the main floor to just lounge. I will be having a couple of work meetings here with my favorite latte in the near future.
My event was on one of the top floors. It was in 2 of their banquet rooms. One room was for dancing, the other was for the actual sit down portion of the gala. Lots of space to walk thru and show off my dress!
The staff was really amazing. They helped with the event and were able to guide guests to appropriate tables, help with questions, etc. When we moved into the 2nd room for dinner, someone was at our assigned table. The general manager of the hotel got us all figured out and moved the individuals that were at our table without a scene. It was handled so professionally and prompt. She saw a problem and fixed it. Exactly what you want in a manager.
The dinner that was served was baked chicken, salmon, potatoes and broccoli. Dinner was really good, and the potatoes were so delectable. I haven't had a good dinner at a gala in a long time, and someone put their foot in that meal!
Overall, the experience was regal. If you are looking to host a work event/wedding/anything somewhere in Pittsburgh, I recommend this place.
Just remember, it is located downtown, so parking is a pain! Valet was full while we were there, so we valeted at the hotel a block up.
