First Choice Dental is very much a commercial enterprise. They are geared toward seeing hundreds and hundreds of patients each day, and for the most part, they are efficient and orderly. Because they run at such a high volume, don't expect folks to know who you are. For example, I've never seen the same dentist twice. I have seen the same hygienist for years, but recently she left, so I'm going elsewhere. Be forewarned about strict appointment practices. While I've had to wait well over an hour for my own appointment (or my kids) sometimes, they will cancel if you are ten minutes late--keep in mind the focus on high volume. Also, many times you are asked if you'd like to pay for extra treatments not covered by insurance. I get tired of this as it makes the hygienist seem like sales person. For these reasons, I'm taking my business elsewhere. I've decided to go to a dentist closer to my home who also uses modern equipment and techniques that I want, but doesn't make me feel like a number or a dollar sign.
