| - What a service this restaurant is to the local community! Many think I'm extremely "picky" about food.... They're right. In regards to ingredients and flavors, I have high standards; especially when I take my children out! I mean come on --we only get one chance to build their bodies with the best nutrition possible. All shared moments, over food especially, are precious. The Organic Shores didn't disappoint me or my young dinner companions. Its 100% organic and totally fresh prepared down to every detail, and it tastes great!
We all loved the spring rolls with brown rice wrap! First time I've seen brown rice spring rolls. I thought the salad took a long time until the owner told me he grated the vegi "noodles" and then let them marinate while he prepared the rest of our food. You just can't get fresher and more alive than that! We loved the main meals too.
I appreciate the juices. When I asked for water they told me they only serve spring water. I was surprised when told they didn't serve filtered water. However I liked their efforts to try to make sure everything they serve was "alive" including the water, so I ordered two bottles. When they came in plastic bottles I had to decline. I explained that I don't buy food or drink from plastic containers.... Bad plastic taste, bad plastic residue in my body and horrible consequences for the environment make single serve plastic bottles a no no in my world. The owner took no offense and promptly agreed with me. They offered me glass instead which I gladly accepted. Wow! They're as picky as I am.
As for the atmosphere, Sam made me feel like I was a guest at his house.... And the whole physical setting from the chairs to the dishes felt like we were at someone's house. Someone who shares my values and sticks by them in food, ambiance, and good conversation without being obtrusive. Really, my daughter and I both commented that it felt like we were back in Paris, and my son agreed. Good show Organic Shores! Bon appétit.
