  • Bill was $1700 over initial quote (only work added was a valve job later described by another shop as the worst they have ever seen). Engine had 4x types of mismatched pushrods. Assembled with used, mismatched hardware and head studs. Sold SFI balancer - received a cheap pro-comp that split on dyno. Requested / paid for eagle rods + L19 bolts - received cheap PEP h-beam rods w/ no bolt upgrade. Requested / paid for 4340 crank - received a cheap 4130 PEP crank. Paid for and provided main studs - machined and assembled with stock main bolts. Provided Chet Herbert springs w/ cam - assembled with cheap PEP springs. Requested 2nd keyway for blower drive - engine came with single keyway. Oil leaked from pan and rear main on startup. Shop is junk and steve is a crook.
