  • Purchased a home (Phoenix area) in May of 2016 that had a SGS Breeze 760 system installed. We retained the previous owners pool cleaning company as they had working knowledge of the pool and its history. At that time they let us know the salt cell was aged and would need to be replaced soon. Cut to May of 2017 and the cells production was very low (per the pool companies view). They quoted us a HUGE number to replace the cell. Being somewhat smart consumers, we found an OE replacement cell on the interwebs for half of what the pool company wanted. Cell purchased and installed (by homeowner) shortly thereafter. A week after installation, the pool company says the new sell is not working and that's what happens when you buy things online. Well, ok, thanks. And here is where SGS Chlorinators comes in. I called SGS and spoke to TJ. Explained to him the situation. He immediately asks if we are the original owners of the Breeze system as the cells are covered under warranty for 5 years. But warranty isn't transferable. Unfortunately we aren't the original owners so this doesn't apply, but we discovered that the price I paid would have been very equal to the prorated (3-5 year range prorated. Just like a car battery) price using the warranty. So that was great to know. Anyhow, after a short conversation, TJ requested that I remove the entire Breeze system along with the new salt cell and bring it into them for testing. (Luckily they are in the Phoenix area as well.) So I remove the system and bring everything into them the next morning. Within 20 minutes, TJ comes back and says the system itself is working properly as it should, but the salt cell was not. So just like that, they stood behind their product (that I purchased at a retailer) and replaced it at no cost. Upon getting home and reinstalling the system and replacement cell, everything is working as it should. Excellent customer service. From start to finish. I was even asked if I'd been helped while I was in the office waiting for it to be tested. Super friendly company that was a pleasure to deal with. I will continue to support them with my business.
