| - I have very curly, thick hair, and I've gotten more bad cuts than I can count. Also, I bleach the crap out if it myself, so it's dry and difficult. And home done, which is not a thing you want to say to your hair dresser person. Try it, I dare you.
I decided to give this place a try mainly because I wanted a facial and they have organic face stuff and almost anyone can even up my home cut without screwing it up too much.
So I was cheerful when I was taken back to the facial room by a curly headed Emily. And when we got to the hair part and started discussing options, she was so knowledgeable and her consultation so confident that I decided to take the plunge and get a real haircut. Yes -- I decided to let someone else cut all of my curly hairs in pursuit of an actual style! This is a once in a decade thing.
So: she did an amazing job. I love my cut, i love how she asked what i wanted and kept asking until she understood, i love how she asked along the way, and I love how she didn't give me any lectures about bleaching my own hair, but did give me some advice about how to get a better outcome. I love how she diffused my hair to check the stack and I love how she designed the cut to fit my existing hair regimen. And while I was in the chair someone else came in desperately looking to get his curly hair fixed from a bad cut from another salon, and her partner fixed it, and there was not a lot to work with, but she did it.
Seriously, these women are curly hair experts. And they are very nice people. They work together cheerfully and the place shows that they love their work.
