Went here for the first time. Was armed with 2 briyani recipes. Was pretty much clueless to some of the ingredients and this young Indian man was super helpful and friendly to help me get all the spices I need.
I was very confused and overwhelmed with the vast amount of spices there were. So it was great this young man who worked there assisted me.
Most packages were big compared to what I really needed. I bought the smallest and I felt the prices were reasonable, especially if you buy spices at the regular supermarket that same quantity would have cost MUCH more.
The produce looked fresh and good. Another Indian man who worked there was helpful when I saw strange veggies and asked him how some of the veggies were used. He obliged me with explaining how various veggies were used. I bought some karela and I plan on juicing them.
I was happy they had loose fresh yellow turmeric, which it's packaged at Lee Lee's and Mekong. And they had various sizes of Ghee, so people can get from here. If u r doing low carb and need Indian or Middle Eastern type spices, come here.
The place was clean and the people working there are friendly and helpful. Oh, the 2nd guy noticed my cough and recommend a wood licorice type thing that supposed to help. It's similar to gingsen. He gave me a small sample.
I'll be back.
