rev:text	For our night up in Montreal a few weeks back, we started the evening off at Dieu du Ciel to get our drink on before heading to dinner and other activities. That said, it was jam-packed when we got in, and we only eventually got any kind of room by eventually taking over the small bar off to the right (if looking from the entrance) as folks got up. It's definitely not a place that is easy for a large group to fit into. That said, the bartenders were nice enough to put up with us and the long drink orders, as well as our somewhat haphazard food ordering as well. The beers themselves, though, weren't as impressive as the length of the list might suggest. Both IPAs that I had were middling in quality, with some hoppiness and some metallic overtones, but nothing that blew my mind. I was more impressed with the coffee stout, which I had a few sips of and wished that I had ordered more of. It has an almost Guinness-like mouthfeel but with much more flavor due to the coffee infusion. As for the food, it was okay...we were starving, so we wolfed down the flatbreads like there was no tomorrow. That said, the cheese that is sprinkled on is relatively light, and for a margherita flatbread, I was disappointed in how little basil was added on. Perhaps I would have a different opinion were we able to have a bit more space, and I could more properly sample all of the beer offerings available, but I was a bit disappointed relative to the expectations I had coming here. That said, when I do come back to Montreal, I'd definitely give it another shot.
