Wow. Despite this being part of a global chain ALL bread is baked FRESH daily and when they make it, they make it from scratch.
This is not some chain centrally sending out pre-made frozen stuff to be baked instore. No way.
With bags of flour piled high in the back and an award for best regional bun proudly displayed on the wall, this in an actual, old fashioned make-it-from-scratch bakery. No matter it is a chain - ignore that. The people here know their bread and despite the queue, one of the staff there kindly took time to explain to me how they make and get judged on their bread.
The item I chose to try was the cinnamon scone and WOW was it fantastic! Lovely, flavourful and fun it was delicious.
Bloor West Village is lucky to have this bakers.
