  • Okay let me explain. Yes they have a lot of awesome books, nick-nacks, chachkis, instruments, video games and a very friendly staff! But...this place is in a desperate need of renovating. Don't get me wrong, my daughter and I enjoy coming here. And I love the feel of an old bookstore that has natural character. First off this is the only property left in all of Phoenix. Recently I visited the Flagstaff property and that property is immaculate. They have a coffee shop, smells clean and it is clean. Now given the 19th. Ave property has a great staff. Great kids section as well. But the carpeting is way overdue of a shampoo/steaming and please oh please crank up the a/c in there. This amazing store deserves to be renovated.
