My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last night. I was excited about eating here (they historically have had surprisingly creative food- gastropub fare). I went craving their amazing Scotch eggs. Turns out, the restaurant is under new management and they totally revamped their menu. It's now much more standard pub food, and most of their interesting items are no longer on the menu. I tried to order fish & chips, but they were out of waffle fries. I ended up ordering their skinny fish & crisps. The chips were decent, but the fish tasted charred. It was supposed to come with lemon butter, but was served with tarter sauce. When I asked for lemon butter, the server brought out a serving of plain, solid butter...definitely not the same thing. It's disappointing to have lost such a great menu (one of the few in town). I do not plan on coming back.
