I love this place. It's nice to have a non-chain restaurant in the neighborhood. The place can be busy (but what Breakfast place isn't?) so you can wait. But the service is fast and friendly. It does have the family service feel and the wait staff don't treat you like a number.
The waitresses are always quick to refill the coffee and check back that the food is okay. I like it though the biscuit was a bit bland/dry for me but I've only had it once. The omelets and home fries are great! The coffee is better than most breakfast places - so why have those little sealed cups of creamer? The only thing that I don't like. If you got good coffee, it deserves some real cream. But other than that - all is great.
I think for a good breakfast served up by friendly people - you can't go wrong with Henhouse Cafe.
