This was a real SOLID show (see what I did there). The performers are all really good and there's a nice amount of songs and performers, especially if you're young like me and don't recognize every single song.
I do kinda feel like the show has a bit of an identity crisis, though. It's not quite an impersonator show but it's a little bit better than a variety show. Some of the acts were spot on - Dionne Warwick and James Brown in particular. Others were great performers but I wouldn't say were unmistakable. Other acts they had were Jackie Wilson, Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke.
Another minor gripe, I felt like this was billed as a Motown show but was lacking a bit in that department. They had a couple of Motown acts, but I felt like they could have had more. A Stevie Wonder would have been great as well as a girl group of some sort (the MC did Marvette tribute but it wasn't as involved as the other acts)
Overall as long as you enjoy Motown AND soul music I think you'll enjoy it. And the performers are great about taking pictures afterward so there's definitely photo ops to be had!
