  • Super fun! Saw the rail car parked on the track as we turned left onto Boulder City parkway on our way home from Vegas. Turned around and drove the 1/2 mile back to 601 Yucca St. Booked online on our way there. 9:30 am tour Sunday morning. Signed our waiver, chatted with very friendly staff members and owner. Walked through the railway museum, train shop, and cars while we waited to get started. Did the safety talk and got settled in our railroad bike/cart. I liked that they assigned cars so there was no mad rush. They ask you to leave a couple hundred yards of distance between bikes so everyone can travel and enjoy at their own pace. The morning ride was nice- sun at your back. Not a lot of pedaling, mostly coasting downhill and enjoying the scenery. It's a 3 or 4 mile ride, with only about a 1/4 mike of real pedaling, which they thankfully remind you about when you're getting started. There's a hand break, no steering wheel and plEnty of room for your bags. There are chairs and picnic tables at the beginning and end for you to have a snack (B.O.Y.S.) while you wait for the train which picks you up at the end and drives you back to the starting depot. We enjoyed chatting with the guide while waiting the few minutes for the train. They summer in Rhode Island and winter in Boulder City- just a short ride from Las Vegas. We're excited to try the R.I. ride next time we're on the east coast. Also excited to do this ride again when they lengthen the track in the next couple years. Wonderful experience that was absolutely worth the money. Lots of fun!!
