Advantages: I visited the clinic a few times several years ago and I find the doctors I talked to professional and helpful. They listen carefully to my concerns and do not rush me like some clinics do. I went back to the clinic recently for some health issue and the doctor is still great.
I like the electronic kiosk on which you can check in, take a seat and wait for your doctor (I think you still have to register at the reception if you are here for the first time tho?) Also, they post doctors' schedules online. I mentioned that because I used to go to a different clinic; as I came back for the blood test result I got a doctor who was the not the same one I had last and did not seem to know much about the concerns I addressed to the last doctor. I would rather catch up with the same doctor every time so schedule is a very useful thing.
Disadvantages: I second the comment on the wait time here - it can be really long. I do feel I am taken good care of when I finally get to see the doctor. Receptionists can be okay to me however I had a schoolmate from BC who complained of the admin on the insurance. The staff do change constantly so ..
For international students, they take Guard.me and UHIP but a $15 co-payment is charged per visit for students with UHIP. Better find a clinic somewhere to avoid this charge. But if you are really sick on campus and need to see a doctor you are kinda stuck with it. Well .. at least they take debit/credit cards if your OHIP expires or you're on UHIP.
