| - Thorough work. Patient education. Great value.
Our 7-yr old came home this past Friday with lice... one those ever-so-unpleasant rights of passage I suppose..
So, of course, off to the pharmacy for combs, shampoos, and what not. After a nice helping of chemicals, a 12-hour straight run for the washing machine/dryer, and a fear tears, we settled into a quiet evening.
Everything seemed to be just fine, but as we put our little girl down for bed (after she passed on the couch - likely from stress/exhaustion), we noticed some sleep scratching - surely just from the irritation of the medicated shampoo... right?
Well, morning came around, and we couldn't quite shake the itching (hee-hee, get it?) feeling that maybe we still had a problem. So, we decided that professional help was probably the way to go - far likelier to provide the certainty that our own internet medical degrees could not.
We called around 8am, and they were able to be at our house (across town - and Phoenix is a big town) around noon. Awesome.
After about an hour of thorough comb work and pleasant discussion (great way with kids - both our 7-yr old and our toddler running around enjoying the show), we received a rather shocking bowl of water with quite a layer of lice eggs floating on top and a very thorough - and more importantly, practical - education on follow-up care and proper practices to keep it from recurring.
We also got proper checks for the rest of the family (fortunately, the rest of us lucked out).
The hourly rate and travel fees were more than fair. We were expecting to spend quite a bit more (how much would you spend on piece of mind).
Overall, I'd definitely recommend. You can't go wrong with this service
