I went in to fix a broken screen on my iPad mini. After bringing in the morning I was told later that day that my device needed to be kept longer and into the next day. The next day rolls around and I go into the store to pick up my device. As I am being rung up, I notice that there is a mark underneath the screen. I bring it to the attention of the employee and he plays dumb until I insist that the repair is not right and the LCD under the glass has been scratched. The employee then says they have no other replacement screens and that I would have to come back on Monday when their parts came in. The employee gives me my iPad and tells me to come back on Monday to get it fixed.
I come back on Monday and drop off my iPad in the morning once again. I am called in the late afternoon to pick it up. Once again I notice that the problem has not been fixed that THEY CAUSED. I voice my concerns to Steven (employee that was ringing me up) and he tells me that the scratch "is so small" and "the functionality is the same". That wasn't the point to me. This business damaged my device, was refusing to fix the damage they caused, and charging me full price as if everything was fine. I again voice my problems and concerns. Steven starts to get heated with me and accuses me of stealing the device on the previously. WHAT??? His employee gave it to me, let me leave, and I returned on Monday like I said. The conversation escalates more and I tell Steven that I am not paying full price for this repair. Steven goes into full ape mode, crosses the counter and GRABS ME (I am a 160lb kid, he is much much larger). I am so taken aback and get out of his bear hug. Steven goes to the door, locks it, and stands in front. I explain to him that I'm not trying to steal anything. I'm trying to work out how we are getting my device fixed. I then ask Steven if I can have his managers/owners number. He refuses for 5 min to give me any type of contact info for the store. Finally he dials (doesn't show me phone #) Anthony from the Mooresville store and we eventually settle on a lower price that I am still not happy with. I am concerned for my safety at this point and just needed to pay and leave the store. I try to use the coupon that I purchased here on Yelp. It's obviously not honored.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered at a business. If you are considering coming in here because you have a damaged screen, I would say you are better off with the shattered screen or going to another business that will treat you properly and do the repair they are being paid to do.
