Anyone who knows me is aware that I don't like to support giant chain stores.
I do my best to support local businesses in the small hamlet I live in however, it's a little bit more difficult out in the city.
The day that we visited Petsmart we were actually picking up a hamster for our six-year-old daughter.
We spent about an hour and a half looking in the smaller towns but nobody sold them.
I have to say that this is a pretty decent one stop shop. I wouldn't go here for food for my cats or dogs however.
It's gigantic and they pretty much always have everything in stock. They also have grooming which usually looks busy so they must be decent at least.
The other thing that beats out the smaller businesses is that their hours are a little bit easier to get along with. Not everybody is available midday.
Won't make a habit of coming here however, in a pinch and after general business hours it's a good place to go for supplies.
