Ok, the cost of admission was $10 a person. There were two of us so we paid $20.00 to get in so that we could wait in really long lines at the food trucks. What the hell were we thinking.
It was a three day festival from Friday -Sunday and we went Saturday night around 9PM; the festival ended at midnight. There were still a lot of people around even that late and the lines were long everywhere. We were getting super hungry so we picked the shortest line we could find which was to a BBQ truck. The wait was about thirty minutes and by the time we got to the window, they were already out of a lot of things. They only had two items left on the menu which were the chicken sandwich and hot links and we decided on the chicken sandwich. It was just ok... nothing too memorable. We then walked around a little bit more and I saw a stand for funnel cake. I hadn't had funnel cake in years so we decide to stand in the long line... 45 minutes later we got our funnel cake and it was pretty darn good. I felt really fat afterwards.
There were handwashing stations located outside the porta potties but there were no water. But luckily I always carry antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer with me.
I don't think I will be attending another Foodie Fest especially if there is an admission fee. Not worth it to pay and then only get to go to two trucks.
