| - This place is absolutely awful. Maintenance people and office personnel are very nice and helpful, including Brett and Kim, but upper management tricked us into not only paying for a month past our signed upon lease, but added a $100 month to month fee for the past month they are forcing us to pay for. We received a notice of lease expiration on April 30th, saying we should come in on May 17th to negotiate a new lease. Nothing was said about having to actively come in and give a notice that we are not renewing this expiring lease, even though we were planning to anyway just to make sure. As me and my roommate work during business hours, I called multiple times with no answer. Every time I tried to come in in person there were many people waiting to talk to someone. As a result I was not able to come in until May 3rd, only 3 days after the lease expiration notice was sent. They refused to let us terminate our lease when it was set to expire, and instead said that because we came in one day past May 2nd, we would have to submit a 60 day notice instead. I proceeded to submit the 60 day notice, which would have us vacating July 3rd, but instead they said that all notices go through till the end of the month, forcing us to pay up until July 31st, in addition to a $100 fee. Very convenient that they sent out the lease renewal notice pretty much a day before we would have to tell them by. The assistant manager, Amanda, was not willing to work with us at all to even come to a compromise.
In addition, this place is a dump. We are moving to a nice house that is cheaper than the rent here.
I have only stated my major problems with this place, not the countless small things that I could add to the list.
Do not sign a lease with this place!
