| - Oh Bachi burger, as seen on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, it truly looked out of this world! But sadly, the experience was still on this world and I would rather enjoy Guy's actual restaurant (see previous review)
We arrived in Vegas on Saturday and came by just about 11:00am, their opening time, with already a packed house and waiting patrons! That seemed to be a good sign!
The interior is simple, modern asian-esqu themed, bamboo and wood but it was a calming atmosphere.
Our waitress was nice and friendly, and gave suggestions on items
today we ordered the following:
Shogun burger: wagyu beef, unagi, foie gras, poached asian pear, miso butter and Yamamoto peach; overall, for $26 i think this burger is ridiculously overpriced..
the beef, (i have had wagyu before) was very bland and overcooked; the sauce around it was good however; the foie gras was virtually minimal and the unagi was gone in a bite; the peach was very interesting to eat first too though and sweet! the bun was fresh and soaked up the flavors nicely; overall, a 3/5 for the burger
oxtail chili fries: these were very good but could have been better; the fries were nicely cooked, chili was delicious! oxtail was tender and mounded over everything! the egg was as tiny as can be and gone in two bites; the garlic aioli was also not enough
pork belly bao: this came as three, and the menu stated it came with "boiled egg, cilantro, scallions, hoisin bbq and vinaigrette; well there was no egg, no scallion and almost no cilantro...the sauce was good but overall definitely not a good boa
kale salad: this was okay...mom ordered this and I did not try it
chili fried chicken: this was probably the best dish of all; chili, garlic, ginger, not too spicy, juicy, flavorful, 5/5!
Overall, I think Bachi is kinda overrated, especially the original location i expected a lot more; MAYBE a return to the LA locations closer to home
