Stay away from this people. Unprofessional services and bad services. So I booked through Hotwire website which indicate that I will receive a rate that include unlimited milages. Hotwire does not indicate which company you get until you pay. I booked the car and was send to Advantage Rent A Car company. Upon arrival I was received by an unprofessional man with a not so welcomed face. The first thing he told me is that My car does not have unlimited mileage and that I will need to upgrade my package paying an additional 20 dollars a day for the milages. I responded to the gentlemen that I booked through Hotwire which garante and promote a unlimited mileage car. He responded that local laws and policies does not allowed this, and I told him that I am a regular renting cars in others companies and never heard this before. I signed the contract and he gave me the keys; however, it did not sounded right for me so I went to Hertz and asked them about this "local Arizona Policy" and they told me that this is a lie and that their cars are always unlimited miles. I called Hotwire and explain this to them they try calling them but it appear that their telephone is out of services. Hotwire told me to give my phone to them, when they were approached by Hotwire another lady with an angry attitude told Hotwire that this is a company Policy and that they cannot do anything. When I get back in the phone with Hotwire I told them that they should not do business with Advantage if they sales themselves as unlimited milages and once you go to pick up they want to charge you more. Since I was not please with this I decided to cancel the car immediately, so I spoke to Hotwire and they provide me with a refund for the rental, I went to the unprofessional gentlemen and told him that I was to cancel and that Hotwire provided me with a refund, I return the keys and he signed the contract. I went to pay more on Payless as it was the same day. Almost two weeks later I received a certified letter from this company stating that the vehicle has not been returned and that they will take legal actions if I do not respond. They claim that they have tried to contact me via phone and email and has not been successful in reaching me, something that is not truth as I don't have a single email from them or a miss call. When I call the number in the letter the representative told me that the contract is still open, that he would open a claim ticket and that the Phoenix Location would contact me in three days. I am still waiting for them to call to fix this as I have all the evidence. This event shows how unprofessional are the people working there, why is the contract still open? Don't you realize that the car was never check out? Why didn't you call the costumer to verify why the car has not been returned is that's the case? I have not been charge as they also drop the 200 retained money from my car ( American Express). I am very disappointed and uncomfortable by receiving this letter and the poor service I was provided with. Stay away from this people and do not booked with them. To the Advantage headquarters hired profesional people devoted to the services and with responsibility to provide the best services. I would give this a zero and would not return ever.
