Update: William, the owner of the shop,
reached out to me within a few hours of my original post, explained that he was not present at the shop during my visit this morning. He expressed his sincere apologies, took ownership and committed to coaching his staff on how to better handle situations of this type. Couldn't ask for anything more...Class act in my book. I will be looking forward to returning to have my clock serviced as I'm confident that my experience will be more in alignment with William's commitment to customer service.
Original Post: Taking my business elsewhere. Extremely rude customer service. Arrived on a Saturday to drop off a clock for repair and the business was closed for renovations through the weekend. There were people (assuming the owners) working inside. Another potential customer was also there and we approached the door which was answered by a very abrupt, unapologetic man who explained that we would not be served. Never once did he apologize for the inconvenience but rather barked about the fact that they had posted on their social media, etc. I'm an extremely reasonable person: All it would have taken for me to return on Monday would have been an "I'm sorry for the inconvenience.... We hope you understand." Since this was the opposite of what we got, I'll vote with my dollar by finding another shop.
