| - I stayed at this hotel as part of the Region 17 Sweet Adeline chorus contest. Because of this our check in process was different then other guests would use, so I can't comment on that.
Overal, this is a lovely hotel and the staff is extremely courteous. That being said, there were a few hiccups along the way. When we got to the hotel room, it was extremely warm and stuffy. Before we left to grab a bite to eat, we turned on the air in hopes it would cool the room down. Unfortunately, when we got back to the room later that evening, it was still extremely warm. When we called the front desk, we were advised there was a "system issue" and it may not get addressed until the next morning. At the same time we were advised not to open the windows because if we did, we may get infested with bugs. They were right. It never cooled until sometime the next day. Neither of us had a good night sleep the first night because it was so stuffy and warm. The other issue was that we had a "musical" sing. Whenever the water was turned on, it would make a whiney noise.
The next day I spent the morning getting ready for the chorus contest. I walked down the hall without shoes on and two of the housekeepers offered to get me slippers. You don't see that kind of service very often. While I had my makeup and other items scattered, I accidently spilled cough syrup on the comforter. I called the front desk to let them know and expected that because I told them about it, they would put a clean bedspread on the bed. In the scheme of things it didn't matter all that much since I knew what was spilled, but it would have been nice to have a clean blanket.
Aside from the few issues with the room, everything about the hotel was elegant and beautiful. I imagine a lot of wedding pictures are taken in the lobby area. The level of service was also top notch.
