We got booked at the Hilton doubletree on Dixie Road when our air Canada flight was cancelled. First they made us wait in the freezing dangerous cold for the shuttle from the airport for 45 minutes after they told us 10-15 minutes. Then upon arrival we had 5 minutes to order our free dinner before the kitchen closed. They had one guy working all the guests that were impacted by cancelled flights. He took orders, and served food. Some guests couldn't get their order in. Food piled up and sat behind counter. Some guests were impatient and just grabbed their food. Felt really bad for this poor guy but the hotel was aware of all the guests so this is on the shuttle and hotel manager. Room sucked. A loud fan came on every 20 minutes on high speed that we couldn't shut off, waking us through the night after a 15hr flight and cancellation. Best was the breakfast nazi manager in the morning who would not allow us to grab our "free breakfast", not even a cup of cereal, before 7a on the dot, when the infamous airport shuttle leaves at 7a. Who thought up that schedule? We watched piles of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal just sitting there in front of us for 45 minutes and this POS prick wouldn't allow us to help ourselves to any. Breakfast opened at the same time that the shuttle was scheduled to leave. What a jerk. Then we waited in customs for an hour. These little things make a big difference in people's day. This place is terrible. Loosen up on your strict breakfast nazi schedule and better serve your guests. You suck hilton doubletree Dixie road
