  • Had the worst experience here! I needed a LOF and tire rotation for a 3 year old car. First I read the yelp reviews. Many said long wait times. So i called ahead and asked to speak to the Manager to schedule my appointment for the least busy day of the week and time. He said I needed a 90 minute appointment. I came in the following week, Monday afternoon. There were 0 people waiting. I asked the customer service how long the wait. She said that it depended on if the "training" tech would be working on my car; it would take longer. Irregardless, that wasn't the major problem. First, they told me my rear brakes were rusted; however, they do free brake inspections and free price quotes. I'd have to schedule another 30 minute appointment for them to give me an accurate quote. I asked for a ball park figure. She said she had no idea as she doesn't work on cars; however, she's heard from other customers $250-$400! I've heard that Conrad"s make's up problems that aren't there and to get a second opinion. Less than 10 minutes after leaving the lot, my air pressure light went on! Checking and filling to proper air pressure is supposed to be part of the "courtesy inspection" and they'd indicated the tire pressure was checked on my invoice. However, she said that I could stop in at any Conrad's to fill my tire's for free. Seriously? I know that I can go to any Marathon and they will always fill my tire's to the correct pressure, no charge. The correct air pressure is listed on the inside panel of your car door. I called and got a hassle from customer service, saying low air pressure happens all the time. However, I could schedule another appointment to have my tires filled. Instead, I went to a Marathon near my work place and found out all of my tires were 2 lbs under pressure! Then, Conrad's called me to say that the technician accidentally forgot to put my wheel mount lock back in my car. However, I could stop in before 6 PM any day to pick it up. Unbelievable. Then, the owner called me 2 days later offering a free oil change certificate that he was going to mail me for my inconvenience. I did not call him back. So ridiculous. I have yet to receive that gift certificate in the mail. I'm writing this review to all to beware of Conrad's in Lakewood. It's unfortunate that finding an honest auto mechanic is such a process / hassle. This was such a waste of time.
