If you love antiques - you'll love The Depot at Gibson Mill.
My parents and I stopped here one day after a friend recommended we go. I had recently moved to Charlotte and needed a lot of furniture. I never would have expected to have left that day with 5 pieces of furniture all for about $600.
88,000 Square Feet of space! It's massive. I love how clean it is for an antique mall. I never smell mold or dust which is really unusual.
When I shop there I like to bring my pieces to the front where they will hold them until check out. The staff is so friendly. Most recently my husband and I went without a measuring tape and I asked the front desk if I could borrow one. It was no big deal!
There is a little cafe in the middle (when you are about half way through the maze) with sandwiches, soups, chips, drinks and treats. I've eaten here on occasion, it's very inexpensive and actually good. It's nothing fancy, but it's nice that there is an option for decent food in the middle of this antique emporium.
They have a loyalty card. I can't remember off the top of my head how it works, but I think it's every time you purchase you get a punch and on your 8th punch you get $25 off your purchase. Because of how much I bought the first time I went there they gave me 3 punches on my first go!
There is so much inventory here and the prices are just so reasonable for the quality. It's also just really fun to see the neat pieces that they have and to relive history!
I always enjoy checking out what TDatGM has going on :)
HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommended!!!!
