  • What a huge disappointment - mainly in myself for being such a sucker. I actually really liked Dan; he is very personable and does give the impression that he is proficient at what he is saying and doing. Impressions are very misleading. Let me be clear, Dan will tell he knows what is wrong with your car, but that is only the beginning of your problems. If you are even thinking of taking your car to this man, MESSAGE ME OR REPLY TO THIS REVIEW, I will come and help you push your car to any other shop nearby if I have to. I had just purchased a used VW Jetta and I had a check engine light come on. I don't like warning lights, and being that I just gotten the car, I wanted to take it to a convenient local shop and just have them "go through" the car. What a disaster that idea was - Dan basically found a laundry list of things wrong with the car... Bad water pump and other cooling system components, fuse box, battery, suspension components, it went on and on for pages. In fact it went on for over a month, which is how long he had my car in his shop. I was giving him hundreds of dollars week after week to fix things he kept finding wrong with my car. $2,600 later, and after almost 6 weeks of parts delays, mis-shipments and wrong deliveries (I call them lies) - only 200 miles after I drove it away, the check engine light I took it there for originally came back on. In the 2,000 miles since it left Dan's shop, I have put nearly $2000 more into the car to re-repair what he supposedly was charging me to fix in the first place. I now have around $9000 into a car that may be worth 5K to the right buyer. Hopefully I get my car out of the shop for the third time again tomorrow, after having to ask someone qualified this time to again "go through the car". ***IF YOU FIND YOURSELF TEMPTED TO TAKE YOUR CAR HERE - PLEASE TAKE ME UP ON MY OFFER*** I will actually help push your car (if needed, or I may help pay for your tow) to any other repair facily nearby to prevent a similar thing from happening to you. I would consider it a public service. Thanks for taking the time,
