i stayed for two nights earlier this week.
i loved the personality and character of the building and decorating, and appreciated the staff who gave personal attention in an effective and professional way with a smile and hello.
i changed rooms after the first night because unfortunately the guest across the hall was loud and perhaps didn't realize the venting about our doors left little privacy when voices are above talking level. (i noticed not all rooms had this)
i felt comfortable and both rooms were pleasant and very clean with everything tidy and in working order (more than i can say for many large hotels). this is a historic hotel so there is some variety here.
hotel san carlos takes pride in their business and yet it is perfectly low key.
