  • I needed a new patient sick appointment for my daughter who had a persistent dry cough and was able to get in here pretty quick. I could not get in with a doctor but instead saw a nurse. The nurse said it was probably allergies and prescribed singulair. She said to take it for one week and if she didn't get better to come back for a possible chest x ray. After a week my daughter didn't get better so I took her back to her old pediatrician. The doctor said she had a sinus infection and prescribed her some antibiotics and nasal spray. The doctor also said to take Zyrtec. After reading online it seems singulair is more for people with asthma or breathing problems which my daughter doesn't have. I was charged $124 for my visit at EVCC. After in network adjustment, I owe $100. At my old pediatricians office, it was $56 cash pay (they don't take my insurance) to see a doctor. I also wasn't too fond of the nurses bedside manner or rather lack of.
