  • This is Mom's first day in Sante of Surprise. She has high standards for accommodations and food and attention. So far, so good. We were warmly welcomed and had great treatment from the staff we met. My sister and I took our mother to the dining room for dinner and the service and food were surprisingly good. All this to say I am very concerned with the reviews I have read about medication issues and lack of care. I hope the previous patients who had bad experiences and wrote about them didn't suffer in vain. Here is hoping their scathing reviews helped to make positive changes. My mother is 92 and pretty fragile so we will be keeping a very close watch on her. She has a fractured arm and torn skin on her hand from a fall and the wound care nurse, Bob, came in to visit with her shortly after she arrived. He did help to instill some confidence that she would receive the care she needs. Thank you to all who have written reviews to give us a heads up. I will be updating my post as we go along.
