The first time I went, Kaylan did my nails. What a wonderful lady. She did a gel manicure for me and she was so kind. She made me tea and made sure I felt comfortable. We actually talked all of the way through my service and I loved my manicure. So much that I actually took a lot longer than usual to go back and get my nails redone. I was so attached. I wish I had more cash to tip Kaylan and I definitely recommend her!
Today, I went to get my gel manicure taken off and get a normal manicure to get around to a break where I can have no polish and allow my nails to breathe a bit. I did not make an appointment on this Sunday afternoon because last time I went on a busy Friday night and I thought I would be okay. I was waiting for about 20 minutes. Just waiting. They offered drinks to everyone else that came in with me but not me, not once. Now I understand that it was short staffed but, I didn't receive the same service that I did the first time. Lin did my service for me. Lin was nice but not as friendly as Kaylan. I tried to make conversation but it didn't really go too well. I felt that she was a little stressed about her job and that she was rushing me. She explained to me that she doesn't get a break. She basically had to scarf down her food in between putting the foil on my fingers and taking my gel off. I felt awful for her. I paid before she painted my normal manicure and ended up tipping her more than I tipped Kaylan and she didn't even thank me.... Until I was leaving. Don't get me wrong I am really appreciative of her service but just felt rushed and that I wasn't given the best service on their busy day.
I'll be back after making an appointment to make sure that I don't wait and hope that Kaylan can do my nails for me.
