This supermarket is starting to grow on me. My best friend dragged me in one day for the first time a few months ago. I was hesitant to go, but I'm not sure why. The surrounding neighborhood is not that great, but it has been on the rise and 99 Ranch Market is a great option for shopping in the area. I'm an avid shopper at a similar market just down the road and was biased to go there because I thought they had all the best stuff. Well, I was wrong. 99 Ranch Market changed my perspective a little bit. Some items here are a little pricey, but some of it is specialty Asian goods, so that's to be expected. One of the things that always wows me is that they sell boxes of mangoes for $7.99 when they are on sale. I mean, what a steal! I sometimes only come down for the mangoes if I were to be completely honest. I've also come down to 99 Ranch to get ingredients for a dish that I was preparing for my Ethnic Nutrition class final project and everything I was looking for was there. And they carry my favorite brand of instant Tonkatsu Ramen which I previously could only find when I traveled down to San Diego. Love it and I will continue to shop there.
