  • If I were to give this business a rating based only on the quality/taste of the cupcakes, I'd definitely give them at least 4 stars. But the service left a lot to be desired. My husband got a groupon last week for 1/2 off a dozen cupcakes ($14 as opposed to $28). Excited to try this new cupcake place we've never been to or heard of, he placed the order (which was valid for only one day, 9/14). He didn't hear anything for three days, which was weird, since we assumed that the cupcakes were supposed to arrive in the next day or two. When I called Bling bakery up, I spoke to the owner, who said that we shouldn't have expected them so soon because they had a ton of orders. She then said she was about to make the calls that day to those who placed the orders in order to schedule a delivery time. I gave her both our numbers and she said she'd call one of us within the hour. She didn't. I called back again yesterday (now a full week after the order was placed--and which, by the way, we had already paid for). She asked if we had placed the order through the website as opposed to only the groupon. Yes. She asked for the name again and couldn't find it. She asked what cupcakes we had ordered. She asked where it was to be delivered. Again. As if we hadn't already gone through this. When I mentioned the location we'd ordered the cupcakes to, she said, "Oh, well I've got a delivery over there anyway, so i can do it today." Gee, thanks! Glad I could convenience you. She then asked me to email her all the information to an address she gave me. I'm just wondering what the heck happened to the stuff we'd already filled out! It just seemed like I had to email her out of convenience for her, so that she wouldn't actually have to search for our order form. She said she'd make the delivery by 2:30. The delivery was late, but at least it made it there. Again, good cupcakes, NOT worth the hassle. Maybe we'll stop in the shop itself to see if it's any more organized than the web ordering aspect.
