I'm an old Arizona cowboy. Used to be in real estate and handled the property for about 200 auto repair shops in Metro Phoenix over a 20-year period. When Wilhelm's opened in North Peoria a few years back, both my autos were past their warranty period. I've had my cars in their shop at least a dozen times these past 3 years. Each time I was treated with courtesy and got the required work done at a fair price. Today I took in my oldest car - with 240,000 miles - and told them I was hesitant to get much done as the cost of certain repairs could exceed the value of the car. But I needed to find the source of an oil leak to know what the repair costs might be. They gave me a quote, seemed to hear my concerns - called me a few hours later to come back - charged me just half of what I had already authorized them to spend - and came up with a plan for me to bring it back in soon to find the leak - they added dye and cleaned up the engine real good so that they will see the "new" oil that leaks out instead of just it getting lost in with all of the old oil that had blown around on the underside of the engine and frame. They not only heard my concerns, but they cared as much as I did about keeping the costs down until we know the extent of the problem. THEY CARED. THEY REALLY CARED. Cody, the manager, and his team of Eric and Ryan were all on-board with the issue of repair cost versus trade-in value. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Paul
