| - What a wonderful dining experience.
Located inside Caesars Palace, it is a little tricky finding the restaurant, near the spa, upper floor. The seclusion does eliminate all the casino ruckus and transcend into a classy atmosphere.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host and instantly feel the need to be on our best behavior. We were the largest party there for the evening, party of 7. Drink orders were taken and were offered the wine menu. Since we were curious, we had asked to take a look, it was a bigger surprise when one of the staff brought out a mini table with a book that was as big as Harry Potter Spellbook. It was quite a wonderful selection however, it did intimidated us and we ended up ordering cocktails instead.
We did not order the set menu considering everyone has different ideas on what they like to eat, we each ordered an appetizer and entree of our choice, a la carte. Basically, we ordered 1 of everything from the menu.
They are very considerate about what you like/dislike/ allergies -- best to let them know when ordering. The amuse bouche was done very delicate and delicious. Since I don't like onions and one of the dish had them, I got a different dish from my friends (thank you).
Bread is served to the table but don't stuff your face with it just yet, a big bread cart rolls out for choice of other bread selection (this was my carb heaven).
I had the artichoke with truffle soup which I thought was good, not superb. I had the Beef Tenderloin for my main course and I thought it was very good. The mash potato that comes with my main course was so delicious that I can eat a big bowl of it as a meal.
My favorite was the dessert. Unknowingly about what was after our main course, we ordered 2 desserts to share... then a dessert cart rolls in front of us (enters my second heaven). It was so hard to decide without sounding like a sugar hog and asking one of everything, I am crazy about ice cream and the server had made me nice scoops of them. They had this Earl Grey Ice Cream... Oh my gosh, it is so good.
Our dining experience was what made this restaurant so distinguished. At the beginning, the feeling of being the kid at the adult table made us uncomfortable and constantly watching our formal etiquette. All wait staff were very professional and serious about their work. However after the amuse bouche were served, our party kind of loosen up after a few drinks and really enjoyed ourselves in the company of great friends. The staff still maintained their professionalism but spoke to us with less edge and made the night more friendly and memorable.
We got to visit the kitchen and it was wonderful seeing all the awesome people that put in the effort to serve us such wonderful food and experience.
Would definitely recommend at least once for the experience and another time again for the food because you will miss and crave for it.
