  • Today the owners of this place apparently thought it was a good idea to place propaganda on my apartment door asking me to vote a certain way on Margin Tax/Question 3 or the rent would be raised. It's so many levels of messed up I don't even know where to begin. Holding your renters hostage so that you can continue to make a profit??? Please. A 2 percent tax on businesses with revenues exceeding $1 million in Nevada is not even staggering. YOU have enough money and one of you could take a pay cut...instead you will lose nothing and give nothing to education because you are stingy, and pass that $$ loss off to your residents. Despicable. I will be calling the manager tomorrow. The sheer ignorance and shameful love of profits that this business has displayed in this act is staggering. Nevada schools NEED to be better. We are among the worst in the nation, with the lowest graduation rates. The education system in Nevada does our young people a disservice. And this business does the community and its residents a huge disservice and slap in the face by assuming they will be stupid enough to fall for their profit-hungry propaganda.
