| - This was a lovely experience given I had no idea what to expect - I thought we would walk into one room full of cutco vendors and we would be in and out in 30 minutes.
My first mistake was not grabbing THE MAP at the entrance cause this market was so big I didn't know where to go! Which really made me happy since I thought it would be small, please don't read that as a complaint.
We went after work on the Friday, which I would have to suggest is the best time as it's dark, so all the Christmas lights are visible, the fire pits are cozy and the crowds are less.
Now, I definitely did not find any Christmas gifts here, but this was decoration heaven! I had to control myself. A lot of the vendors accepted credit cards, especially now with the ease of mobile phone paying, but there are cash machines on site if you forgot to stock up on twenties.
I also loved that they have REINDEER! Though, I was not able to pet them as they are enclosed behind several fences or in horse stables. You can pay $40 and wait in the slowest line to have your picture taken with a reindeer while you hold it's reins. The line didn't appear to get shorter, but you get three prints if you make it!
Free parking, shuttle buses from the c-train station, kettle corn and mini doughnuts, a barrage of youth fiddlers, gluhwein and hot (really luke warm) apple cider.
I enjoyed myself immensely! and if you buy your tickets online in advance you save $2 off the gate admission.
