Long story short...I normally rent from Enterprise, but opted (against my better judgement!) to go through Alamo for airline miles. So I get a quote for $117 for four days...and added the fuel charge for $28.59 (this was my first time doing this). When I check out, the approximate cost was now $157.01 including taxes. I then go to retrieve my car, find out I get upgraded two levels because there are no ECONOMY cars available. When I checked back in, my final charges are $175.06! THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE FUEL FOR THE BIGGER TANK BUT WAS NOT MY FAULT THAT MY REQUEST FOR AN ***ECONOMY CAR*** WAS NOT AVAILABLE! After talking to Alok in the main call center to resolve this, I find out that I have to tell my story AGAIN to Ian at the local airport location to get my situation resolved. After schooling me, he offered to take the fuel charge totally off, but I advised that I had agreed to pay the $28.59, so I'm fine with paying that. In the end he took it off anyways to find a solution. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of Ian's willingness to make it right, but I'll stick to my fave ENTERPRISE. They ALWAYS have things right immediately. One shouldn't have to have feel stressed after a vacay. Moral of the story folks...don't cheat on your main squeeze!
