We stayed here for a month in one of their Casitas (on my husbands bill) for a much needed get away. And the only reason I knocked 1 star off is because...
1.) it is about a 1/2 mile hike to the parking lot (where they charge you daily to park). They have shuttles but you need to pay extra.
2.) they did not have a very good menu. (No organic food at all and their regular items were limited in selection).
3.) they had very smelly bathrooms in the Onyx Bar & Lounge. (really smelly!).
4.) You have to pay for in-room WiFi! and pretty much every little thing that other less expensive hotels include in the bill.
..................... so maybe I should knock another star off?
Other than that, they catered to my every need. The view was good and the people were friendly. The room was great and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I still can't find a mattress like that one.
They have a great (one of the best) pools. You can literally get lost in it (the hot tub? meeha... it was okay). They make sweet drinks at the Saguaro Blossom too (the outside bar and dining area at the pool). They have an okay office area where you can find all your needed business supplies, faxes, Internet and etc. And the concierge was great at receiving my packages and sending out all my needed business items (keeping it peaceful and trouble free for me.)
It was very relaxing, quiet and peaceful. They got a lot of weddings there though and luckily that didn't start until I was leaving.
I would definitely go here first over the Boulders (even though the Boulders Resort has some organic food selections).
