| - Scheduled a "rejuvenation" kind of waste of money.
1. Told I would receive two calls before tech came, received one saying tech would be there within the hour. Tech late by an hour.
2. Tech was more interested in my house and kitchen remodel than air conditioner.
3. Nice guy, but chatty, very, very chatty. Told him I would let him get to work in case he had a call after me. He said, "It's okay. We get a million calls a day, so I could do a call in 15 minutes and there would just be another one, so I'm okay."
4. After 15 minutes of tech talking about how I could do my remodel cheaper (never discussed money, so not sure what he was going on about), talking about the ideas on Pinterest, his landscape, front and back I tell him, "I'm going to let you get to work, because I have an errand to run when you leave." About 10 more minutes of talk.
5. Rejuvenation service seems to be a "tell you what is wrong with your perfectly fine running system" the ducts are too small, the system is too big for home, the attic is dirty, not enough insulation, something about the coils.
6. Tech recommends a new system, I say this one is working fine, he says it is what it is.
7. Tech says five times "I have never seen four zones in a home since '96, '97. Never said it was a problem, just repeated himself.
8. Tech asked who installed your system, I say my neighbor. He said he did it wrong. I say he does this for a living and he got it permitted through the city. He asked if he was a service tech and if this was a side job. Politely, I told him he was a professional installer and again the city approved it. He said I can't believe it was approved. I ask what was not done right, he repeated I can't believe they approved this. I didn't want to get him talking again so I dropped it knowing I would be calling another company to service my system.
9. Tech got a little personal, asked who my teenage son was, asked if I was married or had boyfriend.
10. Tech wanted to sell me a $400 sanitizing service, $300 maintenance service, took my no well, only good thing.
11. Paid cash, $79 I got no receipt, no print out of all the readings he said would be off.
In case anyone wonders why I don't call my neighbor to service the system he installed, he's really nice and never lets me pay. I don't want to take advantage of his kindness.
My experience, Goettl is not professional, seems like they are more concerned with upselling.
