Caught a break yesterday, Thursday around 6pm, when a friend and I walked over and there was no line!
We both ordered the Krusty; vanilla soft serve that's encircled by blue and pink cotton candy, and cotton candy drizzle.
I wouldn't recommend this cone in general for the lack of cotton candy, the drizzle and cotton candy was a 1:5 ratio to the never ending soft serve, but worth it for the Snapchat/Instagram bragging rights. The soft serve itself was a very unique taste; milky, and didn't stay true to the traditional creamy texture as it was slightly more solid.
But let's be real here. If you're looking up Yelp reviews on Sweet Jesus, you're either planning on buying, or have already bought into the novelty. If you want legitimate frosty delights, go to Grinning Face in Cabbagetown; they're a hidden jewel and far better than Bang Bang or Kekou!
Would go again to try out their traditional soft serve options and churros.
I asked the cashier when the rush usually begins, and apparently their insta famous status makes their rush crowd unpredictable throughout the day. But he did admit that there does tend to be more of an influx after the 6pm hour on weekdays.
