| - I do have to admit, I like this gym!
Express Fitness is a 24 hour facility with many different accommodations. First off, this gym is massive! It has a main room with lots of equipment and a fair amount of cardio machines. There are two smaller rooms, one for fitness classes and the other for spin, if I'm not mistaken. They also have a smaller women's gym from the change room which fits all my workout needs (especially when the main room is packed.) They do have a functional sauna which I've been in once. It's alright but not up to my Finnish standards, hehehe. There is a little day care center, a few vending machines, a TV lounge area and a juice/food bar. I've had their cherry banana smoothie and it was really good. I mimic this one in my breakfast smoothies every now and then thanks to Express.
The age range of patrons vary from high school to seniors which indicates to me that it is affordable. Another positive point is that the owners care about their business. I often see them wandering around looking for places which haven't been cleaned thoroughly, fixing any broken machines or talking to clients & trainers.
I had a complaint and they rectified it right away and to my satisfaction. I did not complain in person, I actually left a note in their suggestion box which makes me even more thrilled that it was taken care of.
If you go during peak hours you can expect the place to be full and parking can be a bitch. Like most gyms, I suggest going during off hours and getting a good sweat on.
My only cons? Too many stray hairs on the floor in the girls change room and all the printed signs everywhere. Don't flush this, don't put shoes here, be nice to everyone, weights belong here, share the room, don't leave things in locker, blah blah blah. I know it's important but it's just annoying. But aside from these petty gripes of mine, I like this gym!
