  • Not happy with this one. I've been here a few times and got what I needed, but today after spending a lot of money and time in research replacing my fuel cap and solenoid purge valve and hose I wanted to reset the check engine line to see if it would come back on. I expected Auto Zone to be my friends in this regard. I went in and waited in line for five minutes, until finally, "I replaced a part and would like someone to clear the check engine light." The old lady behind the register asked, "What part?" Really? What part? Why not just, "Sure"? When I answered, she leaned back and said, "We can't clear that, it needs a drive cycle." YES YOU CAN, LADY, I know it needs a drive cycle, but I want to clear it to see it come on because no one knows when the drive cycle completes so if I don't clear it and it stays on I won't know if it completed a cycle or not!! I will not come back here ever again if I can avoid it.
