| - Anthem Dental - 10960 S Eastern Ave # 112, Henderson, NV 89052 - WORST DENTIST EVER
My company changed insurance providers, and with that came new dental insurance. I had to find a new dentist who took my insurance. Anthem Dental was the closest provider to my home. I called to make an appointment and verify insurance info and asked if I could have a cleaning and exam on the first visit so I would not miss a lot of work. I was told that would be fine and they took my appointment. When I got there I had to fill out tons of paperwork about payment plans. I had extensive X-rays done, then my exam (without a cleaning first, which to me seemed very odd). Then I was told I needed to come back for the cleaning on another day because I did not make an appointment? I was then informed that I had 3 cavities and I needed to return for that. I asked for the dentist to show me the cavities in the x-rays and she came back and said she was wrong the cavities are right next to a filling so I could not see them... I agreed to come back. As I left, I was asked how I wanted to pay the additional cost for the x-rays. I explained my insurance covers, x-rays, fillings, cleanings and there is no additional cost. She said she would take care of it.
When I came back for my second appointment I was asked that since I was replacing 3 fillings would I like to upgrade from silver to white for $25 per filling that the insurance will not cover? I agreed. After 5 injections the dentist finally got me numb enough to drill and she replaced 3 fillings that I will never forget. As I was leaving I was ready to pay the $75 for the 3 fillings and the receptionist said the amount was $225 for the 9 fillings and $75 for Novocain and $150 for x-rays that are not covered for a total of $450... I tried to explain that I only had 3 fillings and that I should only owe $75 she said that was fine so I paid the $75
I got a receipt and happily left in a lot of pain without the cleaning. A week later I got a bill for the full amount outlining cleaning and 9 fillings. A complete rip off... Anthem Dental was paid by the insurance company in full and then partially by me. I consider this dentist to be a lying cheat and a crook with the dental skill of a prison barber. After our insurance company paid the payment in full and threatening to send me to collections I told them I only had 3 fillings in my whole mouth and they were charging me for 9 so I was going to report them as insurance fraud, they then marked the account as paid in full.
This dentist is absolutely the worst, socially un-functional person I've ever met, with even worse dental skills. This has no doubt been the worst experience I have ever had at any dentist. Do not use Anthem Dental of Henderson Nevada.
