| - The short: Good selection of fairly priced free-range, organic chicken and grass-fed, pasture-raised beef, and they're definitely my go-to source for beef bones for broth. They sell ready-made broth, too, if you don't want to DIY.
The long: So clean and sleek--it was a nice space once we got through the door, but on a chaotic Sunday, a group of people decided to camp out right inside the door to have a conversation. They had an impressive amount of chicken carcasses for broth/stock, and a few other local products. The butcher tried to help people who came in after us, but they kindly directed his attention our way since those people knew we'd already been waiting a bit. Be prepared to assert yourself in line--butcher shops are not for the timid! Ha! Super bummed they had no lamb shanks, and no lamb at all, because that's all I wanted that day; I left empty-handed and found my shanks at Sprouts up the street. It was all beef and chicken that busy day, so call before going to make sure they have what you want, especially if you're going to play Mad Max to get a rare parking spot during peak hours (we parked across the street, hoping it would be all right on a weekend--yay for not being towed!). This has nothing to do with the Meat Market, but it was a little frustrating to see all the valet spots empty. Overall, highly recommended if you're looking for the common cuts of quality sustainable meat.
