  • We had gone to Las Vegas in a larger group for a friend's birthday. We all decided to stay at the Excalibar given the reasonable cost. However, we did end up realizing why the cost is reasonable. It is one of the older hotel casinos on the strip towards the end of the strip which is OK because then you can explore from your hotel all the way down. We stayed in the Royal Tower which is the upgraded Tower but even then the walls were dingy. The carpet was dingy. The room was dated. To get a players card you have to stand in a long awful line. Registration also has fairly long lines. They have timeshare people all over the hotel trying to get a hold of you too. The pool area was fair but part of the pools are closed because of the season.A lot of the slot machine had mechanical errors but the tables were decent with nice dealers and minimum buy-in down to five dollars.
