| - This place is as cute as a little retro pizza place at the end of a dark hallway. Oh wait, that's exactly what it is. This place is definitely hyped up because of the secret factor. Yeah, it's pretty cool, I guess. It's not hidden behind a secret bookcase cool, or only open with a secret password cool, but not bad.
Being completely sober at noon and purposely seeking it out, the cool factor was a bit lost. However, I have no doubt 2AM drunk me would've been mindblown if I stumbled into it by accident. On the 3rd floor of the Cosmo, beside restaurants with much brighter lights, is a smaller, darker hallway. And it's here, at the end of this hallway, that you will find not a bathroom or a back exit, but pizza!
The pizza is decent thin-crust pizza. You've got pepperoni, mushrooms, veggies, then more fancy ingredients like sausage, pepperoncini, etc. The only pizza they have "named" on their menu is White Pizza, which is a cheesy pizza with garlic only, I believe. Pies are baked in front of you, drinks are served in plastic cups, seating is limited. It's just your typical tiny pizza joint, except it's sort of discreet.
Now, I know this is Vegas, and cheap eats is not what it's known for, but I still find this pizza pretty expensive for what it is. My sausage slice wasn't piping hot out of the oven, so that might be its downfall. It's not bad, just not as amazing as it was built up to be. I thought it'd be cheaper than $5 a slice. I'm not a big eater, but I imagine someone would order way more than just a slice, and that adds up.
Overall, not a bad place for a quick bite. Just don't come during 4AM munchies hour because it definitely won't be worth the wait. Actually no, I can't say that. Tipsy me is a whole other beast that inhales cheese and carbs. Maybe tipsy you is like that too.
